The WunderKind with Gerhard Feldmann and Manuel Kiefer.
The WunderKind: an exceptional Bösendorfer Imperial Concert Grand, restored and calibrated by the technical director and president of Bösendorfer New York, Gerhard Feldmann, who just celebrated his 35th Anniversary of working with Bösendorfer pianos.
After the painfully wrong applied finish had been removed from case, plate and board, and this special Bösendorfer dressed in a “new coat”
- the color selection a quite involved process to match the spirit of the instrument - the workings on the interior begin…
Gerhard Feldmann, assisted by Manuel Kiefer, is addressing every bit and piece in person.
PinBlock and Soundboard had to be repaired as well, as the room conditions this
Bösendorfer used to live in, were unfortunately, less than ideal.
And most certainly the Stringing is done by the Master himself!
Surreal worlds...
... and the strangest pathways open up inside of a Bösendorfer.
The WunderKind is listening to Tristan and Isolde, brought to the room by Bösendorfer Loudspeakers...
...and gives off early moans in response to its keys receiving the leads.
Almost completed!
