QUANTUM LEAP – CD Release Event

The Matt Savage Trio presented its 5th CD

The Matt Savage Trio, helmed by 14-year-old jazz prodigy, composer and pianist, Matt Savage, the youngest Bosendorfer Artist in the company’s history introduced its 5th CD to a select audience, who in turn was blown away by the outstanding talent of this young prodigy.

Heralded by Dave Brubeck as “Amazing” and “Another Mozart,” Matt Savage proved his musical aptitude, apparent already at a very early age, with his keyboard technique, his improvisational skills and his ability to create original works.

“What I love about jazz is that you can break all the rules and be free,” states Matt Savage, when describing his love of the musical genre he first discovered at the age of seven after hearing the recordings of Thelonious Monk, John Coltrane and Miles Davis.

From Birdland and Blue Note to the New Orleans Jazz Festival and the Kennedy Center, Matt Savage hasn’t just been jammin’ with the greats. He has been using his gifted instincts to amass an impressive body of original work that highlights his unique improvisational jazz styling.

Bosendorfer New York was pleased to host the launch of Quantum Leap - the title so fitting - as he moves into young adulthood, the album revealing an new element in his
own compositions and his first entry in worldwide distribution.

Bosendorfer New York has turned into an elect venue for private parties, functions and receptions. Attendants, artists and cross promoters greatly enjoy the special atmosphere and attentive presentation, the most exquisite Austrian catering, and last but not least the exceptional quality of the instruments – the Bosendorfer Pianos and the Bosendorfer Loudspeaker (the latter especially welcomed for CD releases!)
