The Bösendorfer Swarovski Crystal Piano is the product of a collaboration between two companies steeped in tradition, artistry and innovation. Bösendorfer Pianos are masterful instruments which have been designed, developed and handcrafted entirely in Vienna since 1828, just as the House of Swarovski has produced more than 400,000 different crystals in the company's own hundred-plus years of existence.

Each piano is adorned with 9,000 hand-cut crystals handset on an elaborately lacquered micro-crystalline finish, with additional layers of inlaid gold. The visual effect is an ethereal radiance giving off prisms of light which dance and sparkle from every angle. The smoky Sahara stones alternate between pink and green hues, an ambient metaphor for the change between major and minor modalities. The bright, gleaming white stones refer to the remarkably resonant and powerful Bösendorfer tone. The relationship between crystal and the musical experience is a mirror to the connection between the heavenly constellations and sound.
