Bosendorfer Meets Swarovski

BÖSENDORFER’S SWAROVSKI CRYSTAL PIANO STUNNED NYC HIGHLIGHTING THE FASHION MEETS ARTS WEEK

The most luxurious piano of the world will made an appearance in New York City. A presentation of unparalleled artwork by Bösendorfer and Swarovski awaited visitors of the Swarovski Gallery as they gazed upon the unique result of this collaboration. Bösendorfer New York proprietors Gerhard & Lisa Feldmann provided the shimmering, 9000- crystal studded instrument, which is interspersed with layers of gold and a visual promise that only the piano’s sound can keep. Bösendorfer’s Swarovski Crystal Piano brings together the magical universe of crystals with the universal language of
music. What other than thousands of crystals can
visually illustrate the purity and brilliance of the voice
of a Bösendorfer piano?

This exhibition was unveiled with a special reception during the annual “Madison Avenue: Where Fashion meets Art’ series, coinciding with Bösendorfer New York’s first anniversary and featurered Yugoslavian born pianist Marina Arsenijevic, known in the US for her sold out Carnegie Hall concert and her performance of American patriotic songs at the First Lady’s Luncheon
in Washington D.C.

For over 175 years Bösendorfer has been the instrument of choice of the world’s most sought after instrumentalists; from Liszt, Brahms and Dvorak to today’s artists such as Andre Previn, Oscar Peterson, Sting, Stevie Wonder and Tori Amos. “I am able to praise Bösendorfer pianos with absolute sincerity, and without bias”, wrote Franz Liszt and added: “Fortunately, the reputation of the instruments is so dazzling and prestigious that it would be hard to improve upon.” Moreover, Placido Domingo notes: “Some pianists try to sound like a singer. Me, personally, I try to sound like a Bösendorfer.”

Casting off an array of light, color and sound, the Bösendorfer Model Swarovski crystal piano is the star among the most exceptional handmade pianos; unsurpassed in quality, design and sound. Even though there are merely four models of the Bösendorfer Swarovski crystal piano world-wide, it can be purchased for $750,000, making it the most luxurious but also the most expensive piano in the history of Bösendorfer.
